RE: Still Speechless.................Update today

I lived in an HOA in Alaska and it was all wood and brush when we bought and that was the reason we bought. The the HOA decided they wanted all homes to have nice grass yards I told them when they start paying my mortgage then they can tell me what to plant. I gave up sold and moved and will never live in a area again with the stupid small minded HOA (by the way these were all 5 acre or bigger lots and we could only see grass about 4 mos a year)

RE: GENERATOR hrs.

Solid; i have a farm generator that we had to run for 2 weeks in the Jan 07 ice storm didn't worry about it because it never got above freezing and the engine ran cool not to mention it is a 10KW gen so wasn't sure how my one in the motor home will handle it. from the responses i will start it when i get there and shut it down when I leave as far as oil goes i had Mobil 1 put in the engine and the gen before we took it off the lot and the gen only has about 30 hrs total. Thanks all for the info LET'S SMOKE SOME RIBS AND BRISKET PS No fighting over this post please:h

RE: 2007 Four Winds Hurricane

We bought ours in the fall of 07 and had problems ranging from the front windshield falling out to the side delaminating Four Winds was very good to us took care of it all even flying us back to Elkhart to ppick it up after all repairs done. since we got it back we have taken 2 week end trips with no problems and like tthe coach very much now we have to figure out what to do about the analog TVs they were still using in them in 07

Winterization Question

Camping Worlds latest mag has a article about winterization and all they talk about is putting antifreeze in the lines meaning if you want to use it in the winter then you have to drain it all out and start over again. My question is there any reason i couldn't just plow all the lines dry with a compressor and then if we want to take off in the winter we can?

RE: Why is it SO DIFFICULT?

My experiance when we bought ours was that while the salesman was a real nice guy he did not havve a clue about the coach he was selling us. I asked how many gears my tranny had he said 4 (it is 6) asked about milage he said (15 is 7) which i found to be more realistic. Service Advisors were a litle better about knowing the product but not a lot i asked about bubbles in paint just minor problem (coach went back to four winds for new sides was delaminating and the list goes on but by now we have taken 2 weekend trips and nothing has gone wrong first time (except for a screw that wont stay in)

RE: Anyone travelling for the Fourth??

We are going to a new (to us ) campground only 60 miles from home so that should be about 20 gal of gas total and yes the gas price did make a difference in where we went

RE: Leveler auto retract doesn't

Thanks for the replies. My jacks will not operate with the motor running. so if i start the engine with the jacks down i get all kinds of alarms going off. so the only thing i could think of would either keep it on shore power or always park with the levelers up until i can figuer out what the battery problem is
